Just a tip to help out the muscians out there (not that im anything great myself) but to help get better at playing your instrument that I have just picked up on and has helped me LOTS, you have a choice of two things; A) Playing a different instrument, but similar in musical terms (i.e Drums>Bass, Bass>Drums, Guitar>Bass etc) B) Listen to different types of music. For about 3-4 months now I have been listening heavily to Tool (because of the odd time signatures and the wide variety of styles Danny Careys drumming uses) and studying a few drumming books (for anyone thats interested in what exactly, those books were Buddy Riches rudiments and New Breed). I also picked up a guitar about 4 months ago and have just started to learn the basics, and trust me you will be surprised how much it helps develop your own musical playing skills by making that cross over or even going back to basics. anyway thats my tip for the month. boop
