i aint judgin what bnads anyone likes. and phil your right, the reason alot of punk bands have merch is to keep tours going to reach their fans who cant fly over to there home country to see them. thats not commertalising themselves.

once again, the minds of others have tried to corrupt other people commersialism, what an ideal the fact of the matter is, there is no such thing as a commersial band. It's just a thought put into peoples heads by bands that havent made it big, so their fans will love them, and hate the big dogs. i sense impending doom from ocky's nxt post to me, i honestly welcome the opinions of others, and really cannot be assed to all worked up like pretty much every single person on this forum. (Proper punk bands say fuk the system) emm riiight. to recape, u say that commersial bands are people who have mdae it big, and are played on "MTV" or w/e if i recall went "rage" played on MTV? remind me again what their lyrics about please.. so basically, this 7!!!! page thread has no meaning, i started it fucking weeks (maybe months) ago just to see who people werent big fans off, to get to know everyone a lil better, but its turned into one big fuck off cunting match between everyone, i now see what people are like... im telling ya, it aint cool

comĀ·merĀ·cial
Involved in work that is intended for the mass market: a commercial artist.
to be honest it doesnt matter wot the band is doin, if it sounds good then whats the problem. some peoples arrogance makes that harder to see...

I agree with nabaz but ocky and his mate have still got to learn that as soon as band starts making money wether its alot or not alot wether the bands good or bad it don't make a diffence there making money there for they are a commersial bussines and as a manager of a sport centre i know what im talking about so don't tell me i don't know what im talking about coz i do.
I think people should be more like, if they hear some thing they like they like it and not worry about who sung it and if you don't like something you shouldn't start riping someone who does.

yeah i agree, if you like it you like it if you dont you dont. who cares how popular a band is, its the music they make that is important not how big the band is. ITS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC and i think people should agree with me there (hopefully )

The irrational hatred of popular bands boils down to nothing but eliteism (l337i5m).
It's not the bands themselves that sell themselves, give themselves an "image" , promote themselves, get their tracks on MTV every five fucking minuites. Its their labels. Don't hate the players, hate the game.
Lets face it, if I was offered a hojillion dollars to be in a Sum 41 or Linkin Park style band, I wouldn't disagree. I think you'd be a fool to disagree. Which is why I say fairplay to all the TALENTED famous people. They make music I like to listen to.

yeah like jack said "it aint the player its the game" its like all the industrie fat cats like pete waterman, jsut an example,i know its the wrong type of music, but there jsut there so for the money where as the contestants are there for the music. but then theres nice producers and lables that help people forfil there dreams.
